CURECHEM Overseas, a local chemicals supplier, is mulling co-operation with Hualong and Oriental Rubber of India for the supply of rubber made accessories for the mining industry.
The deal’s scope is to expand the business (rubber accessories) into the sub-Saharan market through CureChem with an endeavour to offer uninterrupted supplies of chemicals on long term basis to local customers.
With this venture the chemical making and distributing firm will be diversifying from its traditional chemical business.
CureChem Overseas are chemical suppliers to diversified industries mainly gold, platinum mines, cotton and tobacco contractors and sugarcane industry.
The firm also exports industrial chemicals including detergents, and cosmetics to regional markets such as Malawi, Botswana and Zambia with a prospect to grow into the region.
In a brief on the freshly found venture CureChem managing director Anup Chad, indicated that the co-operation was long-term and a footing into regional inroads into the sub-Saharan region.
“We have tied up with Oriental Rubber of India who are leading manufacturer of conveyor belts from India and Hualong who supply rubber parts for mines.
“Both have agreed to work with CureChem in this region on an exclusive basis. Further to expand the business, the future thrust is to enter the sub-Saharan market as well as to open the new branches and to further associate with the global suppliers of chemicals,” said Chad.
In the outlook the chemical concern also intends to venture into the supply of construction industry compounds.
Chad said: “The future expansion plan and product portfolio includes construction chemicals, inks, adhesives, fragrances, plastics and personal products.”
Formed in 1998, the company has more than 20 years of extensive experience in supplying of chemicals especially to the agricultural, industrial and mining sectors.

CureChem has strong sourcing through CureChem India and China and associate companies in Zambia, Mozambique, and shipping through subsidiary company Myle Logistics.
